Here is my prototype to support orientation of new staff in schools.
My hypothesis is that teachers and leaders will use NotebookLM to interrogate the data sources.

I will test my assumptions by:
Talking with School Leaders about what/ whether questions are being asked. I plan to track use of the NotebookLM via Analytics over time. It will be interesting to see what the Analytics can track and what will show.
Asking teachers about how they might use the tool and why.
Get feedback on my prototype from a range of Principals
Check with School Leaders when they update information over a school year cycle. Plan a way to indicate updates.
I am very aware that NotebookLM will be updating and changing quickly so I need to ensure I become an expert of NotebookLM.
Design Process
The
design process is both powerful and challenging. Putting a prototype out for feedback is challenging as I'm sure I won't like all the feedback and it could well change the whole direction of the project or bits that I particularly like and think would be very useful. I do get that that is the whole point and I can see it will result in a better outcome. However that doesn't make it easy!
Presenting
Presenting to the group and getting feedback was worthwhile. Interesting to see that the feedback loop, which was a last minute idea was something people thought would be really worthwhile.
Being hosted at KPMG offices and stepping into a different sphere was great. Thanks to Justine for thoughtful feedback and a suggestion of a connection to follow up. Thanks to KPMG for a fabulous space to work and wonderful food and coffee.
