Excited about Forms, Maps and Sheets

Yep, excited.

Forms are Fun

There are so many ways to use forms.  I have practised with a quiz and have learnt how to use response validation so that people taking the survey must answer with a certain number of responses.

Try out my quiz here.

My Maps

Great learning about my maps. Learnt how to import data from a sheet. The data originally came from a form.

I also learnt to find the embed code for mymaps. Mymaps need to be shared to "Public to the Web" for the embedded map to show.

Sheets

I created a sheet using the blog post data from a learner's blog.  Good to see how sheets can be used with learners to help with their blog posting.

  1. Kia ora Maria, thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge. I have learned so much from that session. I also enjoyed the learning that happened today. It was also great to think about the different ways I can use these things in my class and then how they can use this new learning with their peers.

    1. Thanks Sharon,
I enjoyed the day too. I find I always learn more.
I agree it is good to think about the different ways we can use the tools and then it is just using them. Finding a way to use the learning with your learners is a great way to be reminded.

  3. Hi Maria, a couple of the classes I am facilitating in used MyMaps earlier this term. At Edmund Hillary, some students wrote in multiple languages. Have a look (scroll down to bottom of page): https://sites.google.com/edmundhillary.school.nz/ruma2/cybersmart/cybersmart-term-2

    1. Looks great Angela, I like the creativity the learners have used and the pwersonalised icons. Is this on a blog so I can comment to the learners.

    2. Thanks Maria, only a couple of students at PCS got through the process to embed on their blogs. Here are the links: http://pcsaweenb.blogspot.com/2018/06/all-about-us.html, and http://pcsemmahi.blogspot.com/2018/06/all-about-us.html
